- It looks like we’re getting an all-Williams final this year. Serena and Venus are both through to the SFs! Serena dimissed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 6-0 and Venus beat veteran Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-4 6-3.
- My little Nicky is out but this Wimbledon run should definitely be a confidence booster. We’re still half way through the year and she can still make some noise and get back in the Top 10 where she belongs. Nicole was beaten by Ivanovic conqueror and surprise! semifinalist, Jie Zheng, 6-1 in the 3rd set.
- The quieter QF match-up was between two Russians, Nadia Petrova and Elena Dementieva. You really didn’t think we’d go on a SF without a Russian-did you? Elena beat comeback kid Nadia 6-3 in the 3rd set.
