Maria Sharapova didn’t preview this kit pre-Wimbledon so not many had an idea of what she was going to wear on court. We all knew it was definitely going to be white- no matter how much she wants to colorize Wimbledon, it’s not going to happen. When Maria walked on court and finally unveiled her Wimbledon kit to the world, all I could think was, “That jacket is f-ing awesome and I want one. Now.” *cough*
Her kit has hints of gold ala Roger Federer although more subtle than the actual GOAT’s kit. A little MS emblem on her bag but nothing crazy taking over her entire look, thank goodness.

To my disappointment, no shorts this year! Instead she opted for the customary white dress which really did not have anything special.

Masha ran into a little trouble and lot of heavy groundstrokes against her first round opponent, Viktoria Kutuzova, but she was able to get the W 7-5, 6-4.

maria always wear amazing outfits — but why can’t we club players ever buy? also, didn’t she also have another white warm-up jacket at this year’s (2009) wimbledon? 3/4 sleeve… no real waist – which showed off her tiny waist…. any ideas about where to find either photos to have made – or to buy? thanks.
