Andy Roddick thinks “change is good”

Andy Roddick is back in the last 8 at Wimbledon after a very convincing win over Thomas Berdych 7-6, 6-4, 6-3. His first straight sets victory in the tournament. Last year’s early-round exit disappointment has surely been burried somewhere far in the memory bank now.

Q. Your call with Barack Obama after the match, what did he advise you of the Hewitt match coming up? (Laughter.)

ANDY RODDICK: Change is good (smiling).

Now, I don’t think the President actually called Andy but I do agree that change is good. After shedding 15 pounds in the off season and working hard on his fitness under his new coach, Larry Stefanki, Andy’s game found a new gear and has been producing very good results this year.

Andy will face Lleyton Hewitt in the next round. He defeated Lleyton 2 weeks ago at The AEGON Championships in Queens.

Just because B. D-Dub (@BrooklynDDecker) is super cool (anyone who’s wished me a happy birthday is cool) and they finally took her picture!
