Marat Safin played his last ATP World Tour match today at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, France. He lost to US Open Champion, Juan Martin del Potro, 4-6, 7-5, 4-6.
After the match, the tournament had a ceremony to honor the 2-time Grand Slam champion for all his achievements and for being an all-around awesome man. He was also given a key to the city by the French Tennis Federation President, Jean Gachassin.
